Each record carries the SHA-256 fingerprint of the one before. Change or remove one, and the chain breaks.
No edits, no deletes. A correction is a new record, and both stay.
Each stored photo or document gets its own SHA-256 fingerprint. Change one pixel, and it no longer matches.
When the box is ticked, the phone's position is sealed into the record's fingerprint.
Optional: a code alone is not enough, the person also unlocks their own phone or computer.
A second person signs it off, never its own author. The sign-off is sealed with the time.
Whoever holds the one-time link confirms the record, or disputes it with a note. The answer is sealed into your ledger, with the time.
Each new record carries a public number nobody could know in advance. It shows the record was made after that number appeared.
Every 10 minutes, each company's newest fingerprint goes to three OpenTimestamps servers. Bitcoin confirms it some hours later.
Each Bitcoin stamp also gets an RFC 3161 time stamp from a public time-stamping authority.
